At the Center for Complex Conditions, we pride ourselves on pioneering approaches to some of the most challenging health issues of our time. This mission has driven the establishment of the Center for Complex Conditions (CCC) — a dedicated space where science, compassion, and collaboration converge to address the mysteries of elusive medical conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and Long COVID.

Why Focus on Complex Conditions?

Complex conditions often defy straightforward diagnoses and treatments. Our Research Focus

The Center for Complex Conditions brings together leading researchers, clinicians, and educators to unravel the complexities of these conditions. Here are some highlights of our research priorities:

• Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS): Exploring the biomechanical factors contributing to the diverse manifestations of this connective tissue disorder. Our research aims to identify biomarkers for earlier diagnosis and to develop targeted therapies.
• Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS): Investigating the neurological and immunological pathways involved in chronic pain. By understanding the mechanisms of severe pain and dysregulation, we aim to provide new treatment modalities that restore quality of life.
• Long COVID: Addressing the lingering effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection, including fatigue, brain fog, and cardiovascular issues. Our work seeks to identify patterns and predictors of recovery, as well as interventions to expedite healing.
